Time: 7:05am (Half starts first, followed by 5k 5 minutes later)
The Heritage Half Marathon takes place in the beautiful Northern Virginia community of Gainesville. With great support by local communities, businesses, and civic organizations the first two Heritage Halfs held in 2010/11 a huge success! 2012 looks to be bigger and better than the first year. With the event being held on October 14th it makes a perfect tune-up for the Marine Corps Marathon which is two weeks away. The course proved to be fast this past year with a slightly rolling terrain. The course now has a name for it's small incline leading into mile 8 on Heathcote..."Catepillar Hill".
The event benefits The Owen Lea Foundation helping the fight against neuroblastoma and SPARK, the Educational Foundation for Prince William County Schools.

Half Marathon Awards: Top 3 Male/Female; Top 3 Masters Female/Male, Top 3 Age Group--15 & under, 16-17, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. No exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another BRATS event.
